Archie Archambault, a long-time Veteran racer, got his start in kart racing in 1985 at the age of 37. He began by competing in the local racing circuit, and within a year, was racing nationally. His first race was a street race in Rutland, VT and his second was a WKA Road Course Race at Leesport, PA.
In 1993 he purchased Sugar Hill Speedway in Weare, NH from Len West, a long-time
racer, and incorporated New England Kart Center on site at the Speedway, which
was a 1/5 mile asphalt oval and road course.
In 2010 a new venue was introduced at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH and Archie was invited to entertain the idea of becoming Race Director for the new Karting Program. Going into their 3rd race season, the Karting program is going strong.
